What is GDPR?

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the European Union’s (EU) privacy and data protection law, effective from May 25, 2018.

	
 GDPR applies to any organization that processes personal data of EU citizens, regardless of where the organization is located.

At ICUE, we are committed to full compliance with GDPR to protect your privacy and personal data, especially in international cooperation with EU partners.

Your GDPR Rights

Under GDPR, you have 8 fundamental rights regarding your personal data:

1. Right to be Informed

You have the right to know:

What types of personal data are collected
The purpose of data usage
How long the data will be stored
Which third parties may access your data

2. Right of Access

You have the right to:

Request confirmation of data processing
Receive a copy of your personal data
Know how your data is being processed
Obtain this information free of charge (unless requests are repeated or excessive)

3. Right to Rectification

You have the right to:

Request correction of inaccurate data
Provide additional information if incomplete
Update outdated information
Receive a response within 1 month

4. Right to Erasure / “Right to be Forgotten”

You may request deletion of data when:

The data is no longer needed for its original purpose
You withdraw consent
The data was processed unlawfully
Deletion is necessary for legal compliance

5. Right to Restrict Processing

You may temporarily restrict data processing when:

There is a dispute about data accuracy
Processing is unlawful but you do not want deletion
The data is needed for legal purposes
A pending objection is under verification

6. Right to Data Portability

You have the right to:

Receive your data in a commonly used, structured format
Transfer your data to another service provider
Request direct transfer (if technically feasible)
Applies to data processed automatically

7. Right to Object

You may object to:

Processing for direct marketing purposes
Processing based on legitimate interests
Processing for scientific research
Automated profiling

8. Rights related to Automated Decision-Making

You have the right to:

Not be subject to decisions made solely by automation
Understand the logic behind automated processing
Request human intervention
Challenge automated decisions

Processing Time & Fees

Standard Timeframe

We will respond within 30 days from receipt of request.

Extensions if Necessary

For complex cases, processing may be extended to 60 days with notification of reasons.

Fees

Most GDPR requests are handled free of charge. Fees may apply for excessive or repeated requests.

Urgent requests: If reasonable, we will prioritize faster processing.

Supervisory Authorities & Complaints

If you are dissatisfied with how we handle your GDPR request, you have the right to:

Internal Complaint: Contact ICUE’s Data Protection Officer (DPO)
Complain to an Authority: Submit a complaint to the relevant data protection authority
Legal Action: Take the matter to court if necessary

                                                    For GDPR requests related to EU citizens, you may file a complaint with the national data protection authority of the relevant EU country.
